AFA Golf Tourney

Format: Four-person team “Shamble” format.  Each person will tee off and the team will select a drive, then each person will lpay out the hole with their own ball from the selected drive location. Entry Fee:  The entry fee is $125 per person.  You can put together a team or enter as an individual.  The entry fee includes green fee, cart, range balls , entry into course events, tee prizes, and lunch following play. 2014 AFA Southwest Region Conference

The Las Vegas Thunderbird Chapter will host the 2014 AFA Southwest Region Conference 29 May – 1 June 2014.  We are in the planning stages to host an entertaining and informative conference.  Please join us and other SW Region AFA members for a productive weekend in Las Vegas.   OVERVIEW The Conference will begin with check-in on Thursday, 29 May at the South Point Hotel, Casino, and Spa. Thunderbird Chapter Golf Tournament (signup form)

Sign up 2013 AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION GOLF The annual AFA Thunderbird Chapter Golf Tournament will be held on 6 November 2013 at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.  This year, we are moving to a mid-week event and will also be sharing a portion or the proceeds with Fisher House, Nevada Vets Home and Wounded Warrior Adaptive Sports. AFA is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We promote a dominant United States Air Force and a strong national defense, and to honor Airmen and our Air Force Heritage.

To accomplish this, we:

EDUCATE the public on the critical need for unmatched aerospace power and a technically superior workforce to ensure U.S. national security.

ADVOCATE for aerospace power and STEM education.

SUPPORT the total Air Force family, and promote aerospace education.

The AFA Thunderbird Chapter uses golf tournament proceeds to support the local community in Las Vegas, Nellis AFB, and Creech AFB.

Some examples: AF Wounded Warrior Program, ROTC scholarships, Honor the Honor Guard luncheon, LV Rotary “Wetzel” Awards, Cyber Patriot, Aviation Nation Air Show, PAC-12 Basketball Tourney tickets to Nellis/Creech Airmen, Base awards programs for Airmen, Adopt a Family” holiday support.
