Hi Everyone,

The Chapter has been quite busy the past few months.  In March Dennis Littrell left Vegas and went back home to Texas, he has left a big hole in the Chapter but we have been working hard to continue his great work.  I moved up to acting President and voted in as President in May, TJ McGrath moved into the VP slot.   Pete Gillespie continues as Treasure and we are still looking for a Secretary.

In April the Chapter took ownership of the Utah State University Wright Flyer that had been sitting in a hangar in Ohio.  The flyer is currently at Rancho High School in the A & P/Aero Engineering classroom.  Bob Hale has been the driving force with this project.

We were able to bring the Flyer here with the financial support of the F-86 Sabre Pilots Assoc, the Fighter Flight Order of Daedalians, Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Assoc, and Las Vegas Harley-Davidson.

We hope to have the Flyer on display for the 70th Air Force Aviation Nation 2017 Air and Space Expo 10, 11 & 12 November 2017.

This year we will be partnering with the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Assoc. better known as the River Rats to host the Military Appreciation BBQ on Friday 10 Nov for the Aircrews and Support personnel.

After the Air show, the holidays are right around the corner and Operation Warmheart will be in full swing, this is our opportunity to help the families at Nellis and Creech AFB have a better Christmas.  In February it will be Wounded Warrior Trials at Nellis, last year our Community Partners made a huge impact on the Warriors and their Caregivers, let’s try to top that in 2018.

TJ and I attended the AFA National Conference in Sept, our chapter didn’t receive any awards this year, so we need to work harder to get back up on stage, but our main focus is to continue supporting our Airman and their Families at Nellis and Creech AFB.

Keep checking the website for any updates
